!!!!!!!BitLocker Drive Encryption to Protect Files of USB Flash Drives!!!!!!!

USB Flash drives(removable devices) data can be encrypted made easy to users in windows7 BitLocker.
To enable BitLocker protection, select the drive to encrypt in windows explorer, right -click on the drive and select "Turn on BitLocker" it initializes the drive. Do not remove your drive during BitLocker setup.

Drive Initialization 

New page with BitLocker Drive Encryption  on the chosse How you want to Unlock this Drive page, choose one or more for the following options, and then click Next as shown.

Use a password to unlock the drive protects the drive using password, To unlock the drive password in any location it has to be shared with other people.

Use my smart card to unlock the drive protects the drive using smart card pin,  To unlock the drive smart card pin is used. Normally used to unlock a drive in workplace which require smart card reader.

Drive Encryption

We can recover the key, even if  your forget your password by saving the key to a file or by printing the recover key.

After saving the recovery file , by clicking the start Encryption confirms the process.

The progress monitor can be seen during the encryption process, to temporarily halt the process pause option is available to perform another task in-between. 

After the Encryption process, BitLocker displays a confirmation message and changes the icon associated with encryption drive.

Similarly to disable BitLocker the obverse process is followed.

Use Laptop As WiFi Hot Spot Device

Simply by creating .bat files, one can make their laptop as WiFi hot spot devices.

To start sharing internet in one's laptop, first create start_hs.bat  file to enable the hot spot. To create  .bat file, open new Text File and write the code shown below. Here, the SSID and the key are the user's own choice. Save the text file as .bat shown below.

Similarly to stop sharing one has to create stop_hs.bat file same as start_hs.bat which is shown below.

The .bat files look like windows batch files as shown below

So after creating batch files, one can start sharing their internet by opening the start_hs file. Who so ever wants to use this hotspot will have to enter the key to start using the shared device internet. And, vice-versa for stopping.

PD accounts payment made online- Government of Andhra Prasdesh

As part of  Government schemes implementation task, Bill payment was made online. Bringing progress in paying bills, the State Government designed a Personal Deposit(PD) Account Portal, started in all the 17 district offices. All the information related to 4683 DDOs in overall districts were linked to this portal. Bank deposits, bills related to project works, Beneficiaries' payments will be done online. Due to this, there is no need of going to officers, seeking help in the transfer of money to their account from bank's account.

Fix Bugs While Uninstalling "Google Chrome"

To uninstall "Google Chrome" in Windows 7,64-bit,  the General method  is 

• Go to Control Panel
• Click on Programs
• In Programs and features, click Uninstall a program
• Choose Google chrome and click Uninstall 

If the bug like "Please close all Google Chrome windows and try again" occurs then,

• Background running apps of chrome must be closed by using the following steps

1. Open the Google Chrome browser and in the options Tab, open  "Settings"  .
2. Under the System, two check boxes are present. Uncheck "continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed". 

• Close chrome browser

Now try once again to "uninstall Google Chrome ".  If it doesn't work 

•  check for malware in your system.
•  Download and install unlocker  in your system.

Now try to uninstall chrome again. Hope this time you may not get the dialog shown above.

warming up your system brightness using f.lux

f.lux is  a program that adjusts the system display according to the location, time, zip-code or the city name.

          It can  be downloaded for all types of operating systems like windows, Linux, MAC etc.

         To utilize this feature on i-phones, jailbreak is to be done. Further, developers are working to make possible, implementation of the f.lux on the Android Operating Systems.
